This is what John did on Christmas vacation.

Almost Christmas

Pamela and I organized a Christmas project this year at the office. We adopted a family, and got them all these presents! The Mom in the family told her kids that Santa might not come this year, so it was an honor to help them out during a hard time. You can see I worked really hard!

The new table

The new table is perfect. It looks great. These are the pictures without the leaf and without the bench. Also in this picture is me in my favorite sweatshirt - the one John gets to see me wear every evening. We get the headboard on Wednesday so we'll post bedroom furniture pictures then.

A little preview...

Yes we do have two Christmas trees. The one we are standing in front of in this picture is our "fancy" tree. The other one is our "family" tree. That's the one that has all of John's Ford ornaments, and all the ornaments my Mom gave me through the years. I'll be posting some new furniture pictures when I get home this afternoon.

Thanksgiving III - Thanks Andi!

Thanksgiving II

Things we're thankful for -
1. that my Dad figured out how to make Grandma's sweet rolls just as good as she makes them
2. we're very thankful to have each other, and our little family together
3. that Lola's lumps aren't cancerous and she doesn't have to go to doggy Heaven just yet

We missed our extended family, but we're really looking forward to Christmas with the Simpson's and New Year's with the Blough's/Nisly's/Miller's - and we're thankful for all of them too :)

One more thing - we're both exceedingly thankful for our parents. We especially appreciate the love they have for each other, and the wonderful models they've been for what marriage should be. So Happy Anniversary (a few days late) to Mom and Dad Simpson!

While we were hanging up our dove shrine we looked outside and saw the most amazing sunset.

Dining Room

This is the only room I'm willing to put up today. John worked really hard (I tried to work really hard). I did a good job decorating the table. I finally found the decorations for the Fall table so I was excited about that. Tomorrow we'll be ready for more pictures of the downstairs.

New beginnings

Painting the master bedroom. We'll have some pictures of the finished product soon. I had to add the last one of the cuddlebug chihuahuas. (Mom that's our comforter. It looks great with the blue.)

We're moved in

Everything is now in our house. We're still unpacking, decorating and trying not to fall over from exhaustion. Hopefully our internet will be up in the house today and I'll post some pictures of our newly painted bedroom! We're loving it. We may never move again :) I just can't get enough of Mya, so I added this little gem. She's way too cute, I really think she's the cutest dog I've ever seen - so are Ginger and Lola. We're so crazy to have three dogs, but every chance you have to multiply your love you should take it.

Our First HOME!

This is what you look like right after you buy your first home! Of course you have to go to Home Depot to get the supplies you need, even though you just spent all your money!

Poor Lola

We found some lumps on Lola, and she has to have them removed tomorrow. She has to have surgery two weeks in a row. We're not sure what the lumps are, but we'll know in a week or so.

I know, we need a life - 6 days!!!
