23 Days / Denver Vacation '06

John and I came to Denver for a vacation last October. Here are some pictures from our favorite place, Lake Dillon. Using your car as a tripod doesn't work out that well, as you can see from the crooked picture.

We accidently came to the Continental Divide while we were driving back from Breckenridge. The sky is much more blue in Colorado, this is a fact, and you can see it in the pictures.

This is my favorite. Check out the creeper behind us. She was a strange bird!

26 Days!

This picture is too cute. John and the girls pack things up this weekend to start their long drive to Denver, CO. I can't wait for them to finally be here. John sent me this picture and I thought it was too cute!

To Appease Wendy

Here is a picture of my Mom and Dad. Don't worry, my Dad has not become a Nascar fan since moving to Colorado - he got the hat free at the auto parts store. Grandma - you will recognize the frog beside my Dad! I took this picture after we had a delicious dinner on Saturday night. I helped them get their fountain working, and we watched the fish. They are beautiful in their little pond. My Mom might tell some of you what happened shortly after this picture was taken! You should ask.

Beautiful, CO

This is just one of the many places to go in Colorado. Lake Dillon, Dillon, CO. We stopped here last October when we were on vacation. It was worth every minute.

The Girls

Of course I have to add some pictures of our little dogs, Ginger and Mya. Johnny has been taking care of them since I've moved to Denver. The only complaint I have is that he's been feeding them a little more then necessary :) They will like Denver because we have tons of parks and dog parks in the city. If you know us well you know that Ginger and Mya are our favorite little creatures. They are fun, full of energy, and pretty sneaky. John told me the other day that it was raining in Fairfield and Mya would not use her normal outdoor restroom. He took her out and drug her around the yard and she just wouldn't go. So he finally came back inside and that sneaky little brat went in the bathroom while John was eating dinner. Then while he went to clean it up she snuck on the couch and started eating the food off his plate. I can just picture these events taking place and it makes me laugh. She is so cute and when she is bad it's hard not to laugh. These are some pictures that John sent me which include the most terrible afghan straight from the 70s. This afghan will have to stay in Ohio. We don't allow the 70s here in the CO.

The Apartment

Easter in Ohio

Square D gave us last Friday off for Good Friday so I flew back to Cincinnati to see John and his family for Easter. It was great to see him again after not seeing him for a month and a half. We spent Easter with his parents and our dogs at the Simpson farm. It was cold and snowy on Easter Sunday!

38 Days

A few weeks ago John's sister and her daughter, Adeline, came to visit Ohio. So John, Ginger and Mya got to spend some time with them.

40 Days

As you may already know, John and I are getting married on May 19th. That is 40 days away! I am going to attempt to keep everyone updated for these last days leading up to our wedding and then everything after. Right now I'm enjoying my new job with Square D in Denver. John is sending out resumes to find a job for himself here. My Mom and I are doing a lot to plan the wedding, and as you can imagine she is loving it! John moves May 1st. He is loading up his Explorer with all of his things, and our two dogs and heading West. He'll stay with my parents until the wedding. It is all very exciting, which makes it stress free. As with many other things in our lives it just feels like everything is falling into place.
