Baby's Room Art Project

I made the Baby letters with ribbon.

John and I made a little art project for the baby's room. Here is the finished product, except that we have to wait for the baby - since his little hand print is the one that's missing. Hopefully soon!

Baby's Room

Here are some pictures of Baby Boy's room. It isn't quite done yet. I'm working on some craft projects that need to get done ASAP, but he will have a place to sleep when he comes. A woman my Mom works with, who is also a VERY SPECIAL FRIEND OF THE FAMILY :), made the beautiful bedding, bumper pads, skirt, comforter, pillow and curtain. It is exactly what I wanted.

I've been tagged...

Here's the 37 weeks picture. Soon and very soon....

I've been tagged by Sara. Here are 7 of my quirks -
1. Cereal is my favorite food. My favorites are Honey Nut Cheerios, Frosted Flakes, Lucky Charms and Fruity Pebbles. I eat something healthy for breakfast, but I choose one of these for after dinner. I would rather have cereal then a hot breakfast.

2. This might not be that quirky, but I always put things on the right leg first - pants, socks, shoes. Maybe that's normal, I don't know.

3. I get really excited about savings at grocery stores. I've already checked out the ads today. I love coupons. We shop at two stores, and we're adding a third b/c they are so close. It brings joy to my heart.

4. I hoard drinking glasses like the little girl in the movie Signs.

5. I can't stand the breathing sound people make when they're cleaning their glasses. It's the worst sound in the world.

6. I can’t sit through a movie. They always take too long. It takes a really good movie to keep me interested the whole time.

7. I think my feet get colder when I have socks on.

I'm tagging a few of you, so list your quirks -

Do I really need another child?

Here's John's new dinosaur, glow in the dark, PJs. I've never laughed so hard in all my life.

Little Lola decided that the stroller would be the best place for a nap one evening. Last night she was sleeping in a laundry basket, but we didn't get a picture of that one. I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow. Baby Simpson's head is down. I give him his eviction notice tomorrow, and he gets three days! We'll see how it works. My Dr. said she thinks he'll be around 7 or 8 pounds, which is what I was expecting (and hoping for). As far as supplies go, we're ready for his arrival, mentally and emotionally is another story. We just don't know what to expect - but we're so excited, and we have a high level of common sense, so I know we'll be fine. Grandma and Me Maw will be getting phone calls, of that they can be sure.

Baby Shower with Work

I got these pictures from Joey's I-Phone. We had a nice baby shower this afternoon with people from work. I got some great gifts! It's so kind of everyone to be so supportive.

Baby Shower 2

We had another shower in Ohio. It was really hard to be back there without my Dad, but it was wonderful to see family and spend time celebrating Baby Boy Simpson! My Grandma lovingly refers to him as _______ Robert since she doesn't know his first name. Here are some pictures of the lovely cake creations, the baby sock bouquet, and John putting together our stroller, which was a gift we received!!
I had my 34 week appointment yesterday, and things are going well. I'm bigger then ever, and I'm getting uncomfortable, but it is well worth it. The baby is moving a lot, and it brings me such comfort to know he's alive and kicking in there. What a joy he brings to our lives already. I had to add a picture of our doggies, of course. They weren't interested in John putting the stroller together.
